How to delete your Gamira account
You can ask Gamira to delete your account, or a family you own and everything in it. A person at Gamira carries it out by hand, so nothing is deleted at the moment you ask.
Three ways to ask
In the Gamira app
Open Settings and choose “Delete my account”. The page tells you what your request covers before anything is sent.
On this website
Sign in with the account you use in the app and choose “Delete my account”. You do not need the app.
By email, if you cannot sign in
Write to us from the email address of your account, or tell us the phone number you sign in with. We make sure the account is yours before anything is deleted.
What happens when you ask
- A person at Gamira deletes it within 30 days.
- Until it is done, everything works as before: reminders, alerts and SOS.
- You can withdraw your request at any time before it is done: where you made it, or by writing to us.
What is deleted
If you ask for your own account
Your account: your sign-in, your name, your email address and phone number, and your place in every family you are in.
What a family has recorded stays with that family: the medicines, reminders, readings and notes of the people it looks after, including anything you entered.
Once it is done you can no longer sign in, and Gamira no longer reminds or alerts you on your phones.
Your family is not told that you asked.
If you own a family and ask for the family
The family and everything in it: the people it looks after, with their medicines, reminders, readings, alerts, notes and emergency card, and every member’s place in the family.
The other members keep their own accounts, and you keep yours. To leave Gamira altogether, ask again for your own account once the family has been deleted.
If the family has other owners, a person at Gamira asks them first, and it is not deleted unless they agree.
Once it is done the family is gone from Gamira for everybody in it: reminders, alerts and SOS stop for its members and for the people it looks after.
If your family set Gamira up for you
Your request deletes your own sign-in. Your medicines, reminders and readings are kept by your family and are not deleted by it. To have them deleted too, ask the person who set Gamira up for you, or write to us.
When it is done, your family is told that your sign-in to Gamira has ended, because your reminders and SOS stop. They are not told that you asked.
What is kept
Some things are kept: receipts for payments, which carry your name and contact details; the record of what you agreed to; messages you sent to our support; and a log of what was done on the account and what was sent to it. When only your account is deleted, your conversations with Gamira and any invitation a family addressed to you are kept as well.
